Bought last week. One of the speakers blew 2 days into use using my stock OEM radio no less, on moderate volume, listening to the traffic report on my way to work LOL :-D
Seriously, why are you considering these? Plunk down another $30 (heck $20 even) and get something higher up in the price range, otherwise you'll be using that extra $30 to ship this thing back either to Amazon or Boss (because neither will pay your shipping) for a replacement like I am about to. Don't say I didn't warn you. These speakers are not worthy to be in your hoopty, however beat up your car is!! Boss is now in my NEVER EVER buy list.

For those of you who choose to ignore my warnings...here is the good...Despite the description the box contains 2 speakers for your pleasure, twice the horror. And they did sound pretty good while they lasted, in fact the one on my passenger side that still lives is doing ok, but its only week one....stay tuned. -- Keep Looking nothing to see here!

I've had these for about a month now. Got them with the 6.5's of the same series just to replace the factories with something decent. They sound great other than the highs which sound a little "tinny" (I think that's the word the audiophile people use), although that could be the factory tweeters that are still in. At any rate its not too bad either way. The bass is so much stronger and clearer than the factory speakers I had and good sounding mids to go along. My only real gripe is that the speaker wire it somes with is pathetic (like 22 guage or something) and the connectors are a loose fit. I got some other wire and soldered it to the speaker connectors. I've never soldered before and it wasn't too hard so don't let that scare you away if you're doing a self-install. Overall if you need something cheap to replace crappy factory speakers look no further. -- Great Speakers!
